Day 01 : Cochin - Munnar

Welcome to Cochin, the first stop of your honeymoon tour in Kerala. Depending on the mode of transportation (flight or train) you chose to reach Cochin, local representatives from Erco Travels will be present either at the Cochin Airport or the Ernakulam Railway station to greet you. After a warm reception, take a drive to Munnar (140 km/four hours) and enjoy the scenic view of waterfalls and thick forests throughout the journey. Also, see the rubber, pepper, cardamom and tea plantation fields on the way. Arrive at Munnar and transfer to the hotel for check-in. Stay in the hotel for the night.

Day 02 : Munnar

The second day of your honeymoon tour begins with a romantic breakfast in the hotel. The entire day is free to explore the beauty of this hill station. You can visit the Mattupetty Dam, Echo Point, Kundale Lake and Eravikulam Wildlife sanctuary to have some romantic moments with each other. Return to the hotel for spending the night.

Day 03 : Munnar - Kumarakom

The third day begins with breakfast in the hotel. Checkout from the hotel and take a four-hour drive (184 km) to proceed to your next destination, Kumarakom, which is famous for its backwaters. After reaching Kumarakom, transfer to the hotel for check-in and relaxing. You can either stay in the hotel or visit the Kumarakom Bird Sanctuary. Take a boat cruise in the evening to enjoy a romantic sunset on the Vembanadu Lake. Return to the hotel for the night.

Day 04 : Kumarakom - Alleppey

On the fifth day, have your breakfast at the hotel. It is now time to proceed to Alleppey city. The backwaters of Alleppey are one of the most popular tourist attractions in the Kerala. On arrival, check-in at a houseboat where you will spend the rest of the day relaxing. Enjoy your lunch at the houseboat and in the evening, cruise through the narrow canals of the backwaters. Enjoy some cozy time with each other, away from the crowd and pollution of the cities. Spend the night in the houseboat.

Day 05 : Houseboat - Cochin (Departure)

After a leisurely breakfast onboard, it is time to depart for Cochin. Reach Cochin in about two hours (100 km) and transfer to the airport/railway station to catch a fight/train to your next destination respectively. Take away with you many sweet and romantic memories of your honeymoon in Kerala.

The latter are more compact, single-level cottages. Both are furnished in aiyny and jack woods, and retain all the charm of original family homes, with thick, solid doors, intricate window carvings, and terra cotta tile floors. Structurally necessary alternations have been carried out with consummate discretion, i.e., in keeping with the style and decor of the era, and great attention has been paid to every detail. The lampstands in each tharawad, for example, having been carved from old wooden hinges. Traditionally, of course, Keralites bathed in the rivers - in rural areas many people still do - but Coconut Lagoon's cottages feature ultramodern bathrooms, each located, in an inner courtyard boasting its own banana (or coconut) tree, so you can shower al fresco under a starlit sky in complete and utter privacy!
